Sixgill Catch - Monthly Newsletter September 2024
News and Updates
Howdy y'all! We hope the cooler weather for everyone in the south is treating you well and for those up north, we hope you're getting as much time on the water before your lakes harden!
House Keeping
We've been quite busy here, well let's face it, we're always busy but things have been going well! We have spent the last month reconfiguring our warehouse to optimize space for flow for picking and packing and incoming and outgoing shipments. Some of you may not know, we're a small but strong team of four men. We do everything from designing new products, communicating with our suppliers, customer service, picking and packing, and even the occasional DIY A/C repair and more. We wear a lot of hats but we like it that way, it keeps us on our toes!
Deposit Program Rods Update
We know that many of you are still waiting for your Deposit Program rods. The rods are nearing completion and will soon begin their shipment to us. This is a very large shipment coming by sea and will take about 30 or so days. Right now, we are looking at the Middle of October when we will ship the rods to you. We understand that there has been delay after delay and we greatly appreciate your patience and understanding. Moving forward, we will no longer do pre-orders unless the products are already confirmed and built. We will continue the updates as we receive new information so keep an eye out for future emails regarding the DP rods.
What does the future look like?
Over the past few months, we have been working to overhaul the company’s backend, correct past mistakes, and position ourselves for future success. We’ve revamped our ordering and production schedules to eliminate the frustrating stock shortages you’ve experienced. Starting around October, you can expect us to be fully stocked, along with a few new products that have yet to be released. We've now planned and placed orders through Winter 2026 for our core products, ensuring monthly rod shipments and eliminating stock shortages. This overhaul aims to create a smoother, more reliable supply chain, allowing us to expand our lineup without long waits. Though it took longer than expected, everything is finally falling into place.
