Myakka Series Spinning Rods

Meet the reimagined Myakka Spinning Rod — the ultimate evolution of one of Sixgill's most trusted spinning series. Built for anglers who demand more from every cast, the new Myakka delivers a lighter blank, crisper action, and a more refined overall feel — without giving up an ounce of the strength that made it a staple on the water.

The original Myakka earned its reputation through dependable power and versatility. But we listened. Anglers told us some models fished heavier than their listed power — a Medium that felt like a Medium Heavy. So we went back to the drawing board and came back with something better: the same confidence-inspiring backbone, now in a more balanced and responsive package that actually matches what's printed on the blank.

Key Features

Redefined Fast-Action Taper
A redesigned taper delivers quick tip response and solid hook-setting power, giving each model a more accurate feel that truly matches its listed power rating — no surprises, just clean, reliable performance.

Lighter, More Balanced Blank
A reduced blank diameter makes the new Myakka feel lighter and crisper in hand. Fish longer, feel more, fatigue less — all day on the water just got better.

Fuji VSS Reel Seat
Upgraded from the previous split reel seat, the Myakka Spinning Rod now features a Fuji VSS reel seat for improved comfort, control, and sensitivity. The secure blank connection transmits subtle bites, bottom contact, and lure movement directly into your hand — so you never miss a thing.

Ergonomic Cork Grips
Slimmer cork grips provide a comfortable, secure hold for a wide range of hand sizes. Long days on the water just got a lot more enjoyable.

Advanced Fuji Micro Guide System
Upgraded Fuji Micro guides improve line management and sensitivity, maintaining the performance-focused layout anglers loved in the original series — now refined even further for spinning applications.

The Myakka Spinning Rod has been tuned from the inside out: lighter, crisper, and more responsive than ever before — yet still built with the backbone bass and inshore anglers demand. Once known for being overbuilt, the new Myakka is simply perfectly built.
