About Us

Who We Are

We started Sixgill Fishing because we were tired of the same story: walking into big-box stores and spending too much on rods and reels that didn’t last. The good stuff always seemed overpriced, and the affordable stuff never held up. We wanted quality gear that could perform season after season without draining your wallet. In 2015, we decided to build it ourselves.

Instead of following the traditional retail path where products bounce from manufacturer to importer to distributor to a store, with every stop raising the price, we simplified everything. Our gear goes from our manufacturing partners straight into our hands, where we design, test, inspect, pack, and ship it directly to you. No middlemen. No extra layers. No stacked markups. Just high-quality rods and reels delivered at a price that makes sense.

At Sixgill, we are a small team with a big passion for the water. We handle everything ourselves: product development, testing, filming, customer service, shipping and more. From the first prototype to the final cast, our goal is simple. Create the gear we want to use, treat our customers like friends, and make sure every dollar you spend goes further toward what really matters: more time fishing.
