We’ve reworked our original flagship series, the Myakka, to be even better. The carbon construction is the same to maintain the history of durability of the series. However, that’s where the comparison ends. We’ve reduced the diameter of the blank, leading to a considerably lighter design. We’ve changed the reel seat to mirror our Siren, allowing for more blank access and thus greater sensitivity. For a further boost to sensitivity as well as ergonomics, the cork grips are slimmer and more friendly for a variety of hand sizes. The most immediately obvious change to the series is a departure from the American Tackle Microwave guides to Fuji Micro guides. However, we’ve mirrored the guide formula from our original Myakka series in order to ensure there is no drop in sensitivity through guide placement. The revamped Myakka series is an ideal all-purpose rod at a killer price.

I am completely satisfied with the Myakka rods. Extremely light, ultra sensitive , and the backbone to handle big fish. Just a joy to fish with.

So far so good only used a couple of times so far but love the finish and feel. Also really like the bait keeper on the rod in my opinion all rods should have the hook and not the ring

Myakka series bait casting rod. First one I purchased sofar, alot of practice casting with backlashes. First catch on the pole was a musky 52 1/2 inches! Excellent action on the rod. The cypress is my favorite. Excellent products. I come from open faced reels so bait casting is a whole different ball game. If I can cast these bait casters anyone can! Come join us and see what all the hype about six gill is about. I promise you you won't regret it! Also In shipping a rod was damaged and they replaced it for free. They did not want the old one back just simply took pictures and a new one was sent out. Thankyou much guys for six gill!

    Myakka Casting Rods

Purchased two identical Myakka Casting Rods taking advantage of the “BOGO” promo. Been great rods so far, had them out in the boat 5 or 6 times now mostly bottom bouncing for walleye. Handle bottom bouncers from 1 - 3 oz in 15 - 45’ of water great. Good strong backbone and yet love the sensitivity.
Plan to use them on trolling some crank baits this weekend, expecting the same great performance!

This rod broke with the third fish I caught :( I’m a young angler and can not afford to have rods break with only three fish. Definitely was not worth the by one get one free now I’m out a rod. I would not recommend these rods.

It's a good rod for the price I've actually bought a ride around 10 rods from these guys so I've always liked what they've made and even the reels.
