How to file a claim

If you believe your rod broke due to a manufacturing defect, gather the following information and email info@sixgillfishing.com

  1. Take a few high-quality pictures of the rod. We need at least (2) of the break and (1) of the label section of the rod. Make sure your photos are clear. If we can not see the photos clearly, we will ask for more. There is no need to send in your rod.
  2. Gather your Order Number for the purchase.  This information can be found on your receipt or in other email correspondence related to the order.

What happens if a rod is not covered under warranty?

All rods we carry are covered by the lifetime warranty, except for those marked as closeout, series, or model clearance and second-hand purchased rods. Depending on the nature of the break, however, this may fall under our Rapid Replacement program. The Rapid Replacement program is for all rod breaks that are not deemed a manufacturing defect. This is an extension of our warranty and it covers you in the case of incidental and use-life damage.

The M1 Series Musky Rod by Sixgill Fishing is built for serious anglers who demand performance and durability. Its heavy to extra-heavy power and fast action ensure you can handle big fish and heavy lures with ease, while still maintaining sensitivity for quick hooksets. Constructed from a durable blend of graphite, the M1 Series combines strength with sensitivity, providing the perfect balance for long, tough fishing days. The comfortable cork handle ensures a secure grip, even on extended trips. Built to handle the heaviest lines (65-80 lb braid) and large lures, with reinforced guides and a robust design - this rod is made to withstand the harshest fishing conditions, offering top-tier performance at an excellent value. The M1 Series Musky Rod is your go-to choice for landing that next trophy fish.

Additional Information:

  • Note on Design: The section of exposed carbon in the middle of the joint is intentional and known as a Spigot Ferrule. This allows for repeated assembly and disassembly without compromising the joint's integrity. Please do not sand or cut this section, as it ensures a tight connection over time. Once snugged together, exposed carbon is normal and necessary for optimal performance.
