Overview Warranty Product Videos Reviews Product Description We’ve reworked our original flagship series, the Myakka, to be even better. The carbon construction is the same to maintain the history of durability of the series. However, that’s where the comparison ends. We’ve reduced the diameter of the blank, leading to a considerably lighter design. We’ve changed the reel seat to mirror our Siren, allowing for more blank access and thus greater sensitivity. For a further boost to sensitivity as well as ergonomics, the cork grips are slimmer and more friendly for a variety of hand sizes. The most immediately obvious change to the series is a departure from the American Tackle Microwave guides to Fuji Micro guides. However, we’ve mirrored the guide formula from our original Myakka series in order to ensure there is no drop in sensitivity through guide placement. The revamped Myakka series is an ideal all-purpose rod at a killer price. Excellent value at that price. Very good components and better than expected sensitivity. These rods are a notch below Legend Tournament spinning rods' feel but well below their cost, as well. SixGill has earned further exploration. It would pretty cool if SixGill took over my workhorse category. 5 Excellent rod Posted by Terry on 5th Aug 2021 I got 2 casting and 2 spinning rods Great rods nice and light will probably get more 5 Light, sensitive with strong backbone Posted by Michael Midgett on 28th Jul 2021 Love this rod 5 Myakka rods Posted by Terry Frazier on 17th Jul 2021 Ive got 4 of them during these sales Great rods 2 casting and 2 spining 5 love these rods. Light weight and sensitive to the type of fishing I do which is alot of soft baits. 3 All around product Posted by Scott Eastman on 12th Oct 2020 Glad I got these on the BOGO deal. Sorry, but for full price I wood think they would be a little lighter and more sensitive. I'll buy more when/if the go back on sale. Sixgill has great customer service. Haven't had them long enough to determine durability.
