Overview Product Videos Reviews Product Description The Kranken series is one of our first dedicated technique-specific rod series, boasting a primarily graphite blank with a fiberglass tip designed specifically for the use of crankbaits. Whether running squarebills through shallow stump-fields or deep-cranking for lock-jawed winter bass, the Kranken series is up to the task. The taper allows you to feel every wobble and bump of your crankbait, while the composite material means that even more aggressive hooksets won't lead to you missing an eat or ripping your trebles out of the bass. The series is rounded out by Fuji guides and a split handle with cork grips. I purchased it primarily for deep divers. Performs great in that application and I threw on a square bill the other day and was impressed with the sensitivity using a smaller bait. 5 KRANKEN SERIES CRANKBAIT RODS Posted by Vince murphy on 22nd Oct 2020 I used AllStar for years and loved their crank bait rods( GT1-2). I was looking for something a little lighter and sounded like you rods fit the bill. I am very satisfied with the action and weight. The perform just as needed and are of very good quality. 5 Kranken rod Posted by Marshall Foster on 21st Oct 2020 Great color,. Rod is light weight but still with plenty of backbone. You can't go wrong with this if you throw crankbaits. Thanks sixgill for a great product. Keep up the good work. 4 Kranken Posted by Justin on 18th Oct 2020 Rod feels amazing and has handled all the fish I've hooked up with haven't lost one yet granted its been a short trial period however the rod feels awesome great bend with strong backbone and love the look and feel 5 The way a crankbait rod is supposed to feel! Posted by Shane Frady on 5th Feb 2020 This rod has it all! The glass tip and medium action combine to make a great rod for running crankbaits. Paired with a Crius 5.3:1 and you'll be hard pressed to find a better combo for the money. 5 Crankbait Rod Posted by Clarence Neese on 1st Feb 2020 Purchased this rod specifically for crankbait fishing this fall. I paired the rod with an Abu Garcia Rocket reel. Been fishing deep all fall/winter and the rod has proven to be a great investment. Thank you Six Gill Fishing! 5 7'4" medium heavy Posted by Shon wright on 11th Jan 2020 Greatest rod I've ever had for cranking deep crankbaits. 5 Kranken Posted by Scott on 8th Jan 2020 Ordering a 2nd asap. The wife stole it from me. 4 It’s great other than one minor thing Posted by Blaize on 5th Jan 2020 I’ll keep this short. I love everything about the rod other than the fact there seems to be a lot of movement in the reel seat with my crius reel on it. I noticed every time I was reeling in a fish of any decent size there was a lot of play in the reel/reel seat. I’m not sure if this is something normal on sixgills part as these were my first sixgill purchases and that was the only rod I’ve caught fish on so far. I did double check to make sure I had it locked down good which I did. It’s not a major breaking point but it is kind of annoying when reeling in a fish and having all that play in the seat of the rod. Previous Previous
