It has a nice soft tip with the backbone ive come to love and expect out of Sixgill. Biggest yet on the 7’6”MH is a 9.5 and it handled her like a boss. From the moment I first held it in my hand, I knew we were destined to do great things together. The minimal weight, combined with the ergonomics of the grip, the feel that it achieves and the absolute workhorse of a backbone makes this rod my Excalibur. My fifth cast with this rod, I hooked up on my first fish of the season. The backbone of the rod made short work of prying the 6# walleye out of the rocky cover it was hiding in.
