Overview Warranty Product Videos Reviews Product Description The original Dreadnought reel quickly became our favorite spinning reel for both freshwater and inshore saltwater use. The latest generation has taken that bar and raised it even higher. Ultra-smooth thanks to 11 (10+1) stainless steel ball bearings and containing a sturdy carbon disc drag, it is more than capable of sustained abuse on the water. This reel is ideal for drop-shotting for bass to free-lining bait in the salt and everything in between. The matte-finished aluminum body is both durable and eye-catching, and the spool porting and blue accents bring the reel in line with the rest of the range of SixGill reels and rods. Whether your sights are set on big bass at your next tournament or a record-smashing snook, the Dreadnought is a necessary addition to any armada! I have replaced all my other reels with these. 5 Great inshore reel!! Posted by Bob Seibert on 21st Jan 2022 Excellent reel for all inshore species… incredibly lightweight with best in class backbone (drag)! Paired with the Khimera rod and you have a lightweight rig that is super sensitive and capable of landing 30”+ reds’ 5 Dreadnought 3000 Posted by Calvin Close on 20th Jan 2022 Smooth strong looks great on my cypress 5 Dreadnought Series 3000 Spinning reels Posted by David Hickman on 8th Dec 2021 Half the weight of any spinning reel I've ever used in 50+ years of fishing. Handles anything from a big ol' bass buried deep in cover to one of those monster grennel the size of a torpedo. Can't praise it enough. SixGill rocks 5 DREADNOUGHT Spinning Reel Posted by Greg Marti on 2nd Dec 2021 The reel casts and retrieves with ease. I’ve pulled in many bass with reel and would highly recommend to others. 5 Dreadnought 2000 Posted by Bobby on 8th Oct 2021 Hands down the best spinning reel I have fished with! 2 Doesn't cast well Posted by Troy Crippen on 15th Sep 2021 I'm going to respool it with different line, but 15lb braid to flouro leader usually casts well, but not on this reel. I'm also going to use a new lighter rod and see if that helps, but the line just doesn't leave the spool freely 5 Amazing reel!! Posted by Charlie Hollis on 11th Sep 2021 I am shocked at how smooth the reel is in every aspect. The drag is really smooth as a bigger fish takes line. The only downside is that I can't order more sue to them being out of stock! 5 Wow! Posted by Kyle Asby on 13th Aug 2021 I've used everything from garage sale finds to Shimano Stradics and everything in between and absolutely love these Dreadnoughts! So far they've pulled in bass, catfish, trout, and snook without any issues. Can't wait to see a redfish fully test the drag but have no doubt it'll handle anything thrown its way. The lightweight feel for both 3000 and 4000 mean an entire day of fishing is easy. Excellent quality reels! Previous Previous
