Please Note: The section of exposed carbon in the middle of the joint is by design. This allows for repeated assembly/disassembly without the joint becoming loose over time. Once you have snugged the sections together, you will still see exposed carbon. Were this to be painted, it would not allow for as tight of a connection, and would diminish positive engagement over time. DO NOT SAND OR CUT THIS SECTION

    To be honest I got this and within the first 3 hours of use the tip broke in half. They did replace the rod and the replacement I have yet to use so I can only go by what I've experienced. Was planning on only using it as a travel rod as it's described as, I would hate to be out on the road and the rod would break again.

    Its an amzing rod i paired it with a cyclone and caught some nice size fish on fishing trips. Great for walking miles on trails without worrying of hitting it on branchs or potential snapping being inside the case. I do hope maybe you upgrade the case to include a carrying pouch for a reel and abit of gear iv actually attached a pocket from a dog satchel i have it works perfect.
