I am very please with the feel and smoothness of the reel. 4 Caught 8, pretty good day for upstate ny in December. Posted by Brian Purtell on 9th Jan 2022 Only got to take it out once. But i smashed them. Reel felt great. Smooth, fast and great casting distance. Caught 8, pretty good day for upstate ny in December. 4 Caught 8, pretty good day for upstate ny in December. They are smooth and very reliable and so easy to use. 5 Banshee reel Posted by Bill on 9th Jan 2022 I use the reals with my customers, who are not always the most experienced anglera. I don't get a time of line twist and it doesn't tangle. With the 8:1 ratio you can put a spinner bait on a spinning rod for people who might not be able to use a baitcaster 3 Banshee reel Posted by Unknown on 16th Dec 2021 Not impressed. Purchased a 3000 and 4000 series Banshee. Both reels seem gritty and not smooth. I like Sixgill rods, but not impressed with the reels in the least. Much better options at better prices out there. 5 Banshee Posted by Jeffrey J Brown on 13th Oct 2021 After purchasing 1 of these reels I knew from the moment I opened the box that I had found what I've been looking for. Every year I break or destroy at least 1 if not more reels during salmon season. This year id been through three by the time I purchased a banshee. This thing has held up to my abuse as I knew it would from the first touch. I now own 8 of them. Solid reel at a fantastic price. 5 Banshee 4000 Posted by Matthew Brown on 16th Sep 2021 I've been enjoying my Banshee reel. It casts smooth, and has a nice drag system that handles the bigger fish. 1 Very ROUGH Posted by Brian Madden on 21st Aug 2021 I purchased several of the 3000 reels a couple years back (I have receipts, and am not a hater), mostly because I was in love with Sixgill at the time, and like the ratio in a spinning reel. I've used them quite a bit and am retiring them. Since the beginning they have been very ROUGH reeling things in, almost like they never had any lubrication from the factory. I treat them well, and only fish in fresh water. I've since tried reels from Shimano and Daiwa. Even the $30 retail Daiwa is MUCH smoother than this reel, albeit a lower ratio. I just can't justify using these reels even with the awesome ratio. I've moved to baitcasters for higher ratios, something I recommend others do as well. Tight lines! Previous Next Previous Next
