Our Pros

Brad Whatley

@bradwhatleyfishing

I grew up in the small town of Bivins TX. I spent most of my childhood fishing Caddo Lake fishing for crappie and catfish with my Dad. I qualified in 2018 for the Elite Series by finishing 2nd in points in the Central Opens. I have since qualified for 2 Bassmaster Classics and won over 400,000. When I'm not guiding or touring I spent most of my time fishing and hunting with my wife and three daughters.

Brock Mosley

@Brockmosleyfishing

Out of Collinsville, Mississippi, Brock Mosley has been on the Bassmaster Elite Series for 7 years. Growing up in a family that ran a boat dealership, it was no surprise that fishing was in his blood from the beginning. A career as a pro angler was his life goal and now he's living it! Brock fishes the range of SixGill reels, loves power fishing, and always looks forward to fishing Lake Champlain. And according to BASS, his seven Top 10 finishes in the last two years is currently the best record in the series!

TYLER RIVET

@tyler_rivet_fishing

Like fellow Louisianan Tyler Carriere, Tyler Rivet has been with us since the early days of SixGill Fishing. Tyler fishes the whole range of SixGill casting and spinning reels, but prefers the Wraith casting reel. He was actually the first tester for several of our most popular second-generation rods as well. Tyler is already making a splash with several Top-20 finishes in the Elites, and looks forward to competing in the Classic this year. Keep an eye on this kid, he's well on the way to doing big things, and we're glad to have him with us here at SixGill!

FRED ROUMBANIS

@Fredroumbanis

Fred Roumbanis is originally from California, but is now based out of Russellville, Arkansas, right on the banks of Lake Dardanelle. Before joining the MLF Tour, Fred had previously won two Bassmaster events, and has over $1,200,000 in career earnings! He is the first MLF pro to use SixGill reels, and prefers our Wraith casting reels and Banshee spinning reels.

JOHN MURRAY

@johnmurrayfishing

John Murray has been a full-time professional angler since 1985, fishing local, regional, and national tournament circuits like Won Bass, FLW, and the Bassmaster Elite Series. He is currently a competitor on the Major League Fishing Bass Pro Tour. At one time, Murray was being called “The Ironman,” since he was fishing both the FLW tour and the Bassmaster Elite Series in the same year. John is the only professional angler to win a fully rigged bass boat on every major western waterway from New Mexico to Washington, totaling 31 boats. He has qualified for the Bassmaster Classic 7 times and is a 2-time US Open Champion. His career winnings total $2.5 million.

Casey Scanlon

@caseyscanlon10

Casey joined the SixGill team in late 2020, bringing a solid resume of professional bass fishing success including tournament wins for all the major circuits, as well as fishing the Bassmaster Classic in 2013. Born and raised in eastern Kansas, Casey now calls the Lake of the Ozarks home, where he is a professional fishing guide when he’s not fishing tournaments on the FLW Tour!

Chris Jones

@chrismjones_fishing

Chris Jones hails from Pocola, Oklahoma, near the banks of the Arkansas River not too far from where he won the 2020 Bassmaster Central Open. Chris' father was a tournament angler so it was no surprise that Chris has been fishing for as long as he can remember. Growing up being in a tournament boat with his dad as often as possible means that Chris has been hooked since the beginning! Given his choice of techniques, Chris prefers to swim a jig on a Lykan rod x Hamarr reel combo. Most recently you've probably seen Chris climb the podium at the 2021 Bassmaster Classic, coming in 3rd!

RANDY SULLIVAN

@randysullivanfishing

From the small town of Breckenridge, Texas, Sullivan has been on the hunt for big fish since he could walk! Randy grew up in west Texas and is an outdoorsman at heart. He has spent most of his free time on the water working his way up the ranks and into the big leagues. He has accomplished three top Top 10 Finishes in the Bassmaster Opens and is looking forward to more success in the Opens this year. Randy is a confident yet humble individual who never takes his success for granted and is always just happy to be out on the water.

DALE HIGHTOWER

@dale.hightower

Dale is hardly a rookie to professional bass fishing: he is a seasoned Bassmaster Opens angler and has competed in many of the tournament trails. He even placed 15th in the 2011 Bassmaster Classic after qualifying through the B.A.S.S. Federation Nation. You'll have a hard time nailing down Dale's favorite technique, as he seems to love them all. We love having Dale on the team rocking SixGill reels!

TYLER CARRIERE

@tyler_carriere_fishing

Hailing from southern Louisiana, Tyler Carriere was the first Bassmaster Elite Series pro to join the SixGill team and has been with us since the beginning. His help was pivotal in the later development of the Wraith casting reel, which might be part of why it's his favorite reel that we offer! In addition to fishing the Opens, he is a successful redfish and trout charter captain, and always manages to know exactly where the oyster boats are going to be to round out a day on the water!

Kalon Johnson

@redfishassassin

A professional kayak angler from Louisiana, Kalon's first love is redfish (he was the 2020 KBF Redfish Series Angler of the Year for the Gulfcoast) but he's now looking to make a splash on the bass side as well, and he's in the right state to do it! Kalon fishes the Bassmaster Kayak Series and is our go-to authority on fishing from personal watercraft for a range of species! Kalon loves the Hamarr S+ series for a range of presentations!
