Description

The Halfling rod series brings back our popular Kayak-handle as first seen with the Creature-K series. A considerably shorter grip ideal for fishing from kayaks and other seated positions (especially when PFDs or heavier layers are in use), it's also great for bank-fishing scenarios and other situations where underhanded casts and flips are required. The blank is moderate fast, excellent for a wide range of techniques. A great general-purpose rod, the Halfling rod series also benefits from the added comfort and grip of our custom soft polymer handles and the dependable durability and function of Fuji guides.

Features:

  • Action: Moderate-Fast
  • 1-Piece 24T Japanese Toray carbon construction
  • Soft Polymer Grip*
  • Fuji Guides
  • Short, Kayak-Ready Handle
  • Lifetime Warranty

    Halfling rod BOGO M/MH

Published by Patrick Peppers on 17th Jan 2020

Wasn’t sure I was gonna like the short handle. But as described by SIXGILL these are perfect for kayak fishing. Sensitive tip and awesome backbone! Will purchase again when the BOGO is back on. I need a couple heavy rods to complete my SIXGILL arsenal. Thx again SIXGILL #FISHTEXAS

    6'9" medium Halfling casting rod

Published by Daren W Lewis on 16th Jan 2020

    Very light in the hand
I bought the Halfling with a specific purpose in mind.
    Spinnerbaits, squarebills, and jerkbaits.
I'm short 5'4" and although the halflings were created for kayak fishermen I wanted something with a shorter handle that I could cast more accurately and work a jerkbait without the handle riding up under my arm pit.
For the money this is an awesome rod.
