Description

The Halfling rod series brings back our popular Kayak-handle as first seen with the Creature-K series. A considerably shorter grip ideal for fishing from kayaks and other seated positions (especially when PFDs or heavier layers are in use), it's also great for bank-fishing scenarios and other situations where underhanded casts and flips are required. The blank is moderate fast, excellent for a wide range of techniques. A great general-purpose rod, the Halfling rod series also benefits from the added comfort and grip of our custom soft polymer handles and the dependable durability and function of Fuji guides.

Features:

  • Action: Moderate-Fast
  • 1-Piece 24T Japanese Toray carbon construction
  • Soft Polymer Grip*
  • Fuji Guides
  • Short, Kayak-Ready Handle
  • Lifetime Warranty

    MH 7' 6" casting rod

Highend quality for a very reasonable price especially with the bogo sales! Highly recommend trying this company. The "halfling series" advertised the shorter handle for "yakkers" and people wearing personal floatation devices. I wear a mustang device and the shortened handle works to not get the rod butt caught while casting. Well thought out design! It casts a lot farther than some other manufacturers too. Feels great with nice sensitivity!

Excellent quality & craftsmanship. They used nice Fuji guides and proprietary composite grips. Also a great idea making this series with a slightly reduced handle length for kayak usage and for fishing from a seated position and/or wearing a pfd device. Also just as a company recommendation I ordered mine on a Tues. afternoon and received my bogo rods on Thurs. at lunch time. Just 2 days from order time from Tex. to Ga. in a super durable protective tube. Awesome service and they deserve the 5 star rating!

Haven't had the opportunity to use it much but I like what I have seen so far. Appears well made and comfortable to use. The only negative is that it feels just a little heavy. Not enough to really bother me

I have all the sizes and the powers in these rods and use them for every application there is when kayak fishing for bass. You couldn't ask for better rods for the price, there's no problem sticking your pb and being confident that sixgill will stand-up

I started with baitcaster reels on pistol grip rods. You cant find a good pistol grip rod anymore. The shorter handles make casting in close quarters are 1 handed much easier. Love them.
